Your Business Engagement

As we work with you to improve the value of your business this is what you can expect.  We will each month teach you a new strategy, process or procedure needed to increase the actual value of your business, increase your bottom line profits, clarity for the direction of the business in the coming years (1, 3 and 5 year plans) as well as creating an enhanced company culture.

Here is how it works.  When you engage with Universal Accounting we we commit to do the one or more of the following in the coming 12+ months:

  • Monthly One-on-One or Conference call
    • This is a one-on-one training with your coach.  Each call will review the previous discussion and the related assignments.  A new topic will be introduced and prioritized.  In that process you will decide how best to implement it within the business and what assignments will be given.  Lastly, the next appointment will be set.
      • Following the call a summary will be given along with complementary information.
  • Attendance at a Monthly Training & Master Mind Meeting with peer business owners
    • This monthly meeting delves into the training topics in more detail.  Because of the setting we discuss with other business owners the importance of implementing it in the business and how best to do so.  In the training your peers will share in confidence the challenges and success they are each facing as they also move forward.  You will have the opportunity to provide insights and suggestions while receiving the same.
  • Training for Your Management Team
    • Many have a team of executives or management that need to also understand the value of the changes being made and will be given assignments related to the same.  As part of the engagement Universal can also train to the management team to involve and engage them accordingly.  Often their buy-in is key to the success of the process and this insures the seamless process.
  • Quarterly Retreat Facilitation
    • Key to the success in business is the ability to work “ON” rather than just “IN” the business.  Removing from the place of business those individuals essential to the success of the business and for two days focusing on the recent results, receiving specific training, while gaining clarity for the coming months will accelerate the success of the business and those involved.  Universal will facilitate this offsite retreat with the intent to springboard the business to the next level of success and profit.

Courtney is a home-grown rock star for Universal Accounting Center (UAC). Having started with Universal in 2004 as an intern out of high school, Courtney has excelled in every responsibility she has been given. She has served as our Orientation Coach for over 7 years with enthusiasm and a passion to delight and serve our customers. She helps new clients set goals and schedules for course completion and certification in that crucial first 30-45 days of enrollment with UAC. She has recently been promoted to the position of ‘mother,’ the ultimate customer service position!

John Scott Stephenson has over 20 years of consulting experience in training design, implementation, facilitation, change management, customer loyalty, leadership development, and sales and marketing. He has designed and implemented management systems to support major change initiatives for numerous organizations throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. His goal is to help organizations be more profitable and people more effective.

Scott’s clients are in the public, private and non-profit sectors, which have given him broad experience in understanding critical organizational issues. His clients include the Center for Disease Control, Phillip Morris, DeVry University, and KPMG Peat Marwick. He has an MBA and Bachelor’s Degree in Economics.

Clay Neves is an 11 year veteran with Universal Accounting Center (UAC) and has worked with business throughout the United States and Canada.

Using a business valuation & benchmarking program that uses some of your financial information to compare the business to your industry standards, based on NAICS codes he will show you what is going well in the business and identify areas for improvement with specific action items so you can do better than your competition.

More important, there is a national award that recognizes businesses that are in the Top 10% of their industry based on NAICS code that he will help guide you to earn.

At UAC he oversaw growth of Universal’s seminar channel nearly ten-fold, and oversaw the enrollment call center before taking on the implementation of BizBench as a new product, as well as webinars, virtual conferences, and other R&D projects. He has been involved at the executive level in using key performance indicators to identify trends, problems, opportunities and business solutions. He is a past Chamber of Commerce executive and knows how to help small business.
